I have just been viewing some videos by a guy named J.C. Teft.
He has written a book called, The Christ is not a person. The Evolution of Conciousness and the Destiny of Man. Here is what it says on Amazon about the book.
Why are we born? For what purpose are we here?
The longer we are
unaware of what is taking place within us – of what drives us and what
can liberate us from the bonds of egocentric behavior – the longer we
allow what the Buddha called the sorrow of life to hold sway. The sorrow
of life is the sum and consequence of our total identification with the
world of self.
The word Consciousness means something more than
what the mind of self thinks, imagines, or conceives. Awareness in Pure
Consciousness is an awareness that is beyond self. Contrary to
traditional thinking, the so-called unseen, unknown world is nothing
more than Consciousness of which we are unaware. Unawareness in
Consciousness has been evolving into Awareness in Consciousness since
before time began.
The author of this work comprehensively sets
forth a meaning of ancient scripture that likely has not been advanced
to you before. He demystifies ancient legends and myths so that the
essential truth of ancient teachings shines through. Using ancient
scripture as a guide, he insightfully explores a growing conscious
awareness that has emerged within mankind over the last few thousand
years.
A must read for anyone looking to discover the deeper
meaning of ancient scripture beyond a literal interpretation of the
words.
Many of the things he says, I resonate with, as a Christ One, Panentheist. which is simply a label description or concept of my view of life, consciousness, wholeness, or whatever name you apply to it.
In his introductory video on the mind, he discusses things, that I a few years ago, had already given much thought to, our human development since we were children to our progression to growing older. How and why we developed all these concepts of good, and evil and even a "god" ruler type or concept in our minds. I think our first idea once we recognize a SELF, is because of our parents authority over us this becomes our model as to what we think god is like. A god that rewards certain behaviors and punishes others, and a god that must be appeased.
Before that time, of an existential self acknowledgement, we had no sense of self, or other. We just were. and there really was no other.. (our parental authorities).
For me, Jesus the Christ provides us the necessary concept that leads back to that awareness of innocence and acknowledgment of all things are IN the Father, and I and the Father are One.
Thus Jesus said, unless you become like a little child you cannot enter the kingdom of god.
This conscious waking up, brings all things to One, we see the entirety of all Creation and all men, as One of form of the Source and with a new mind, that isn't really new, but is the very source of all of our existence...we awake to this reality, which goes beyond even conceptual words that can only point to this truth.
If there is a Creator, the Creation could never comprehend all that this Source of all things, is, but One can become aware for the first time in their lives, that the self, and the other, are non-existent outside of this Source of all things.. There is a sense of union, oneness that comes about with all of life, an understanding that ALL LIFE IS SACRED... and leads to treating it as such. No division, no separation among the creature man, that we are biological the same, and have this same enablement to be brought to consciousness of the PRESENCE OF THE SOURCE IN ALL THINGS..
Yes, I believe Jesus lived, breathed and brought forth a teaching and lived his life in such away, that he alone, points to the full extent of the Source, and what the source conceptually is, as a Father in direct relationship to how we treat one another. That within all things, is interwoven perfect love.
This awareness with in Jesus was his anointing, or the very meaning of the word, Christ, the anointed one or anointed.. He was the first within the Semitic group of individuals to fully explain the Father or Source of all existence, beyond previous concepts of a god, they held most of the time of an angry, vengeful ruler who needed blood to be satisfied, through sacrifice, who rewarded those who do good and hates those who do evil. That rather the Source, the Father, the Creator of all things, makes no judgement of it's Creation because unlike man, god is not a concept, made in our image.. it is we who have judged and judged in error out of that self existent separation we thought we were.. Rather the Father provides, is and brings forth all of life existence which really is One expression of this Glory.
This glory being unveiled as the Son, the singular Christ One, that unveils who we all really are..
and that this same Spirit, holy Spirit, is the very life, that gives all life substance and sustenance, that was with, in and of the Son, is the same Spirit within and of all of us.
As he is in the world, so aren't we. As John wrote. "
"He" being simply a conceptual word, being written by a man who grew up in a patriarchial religion and group. The actual word in the Greek is autos and can be translated as he, her or even IT..
Paul makes these matters clear to the pagans (those who were worshiping conceptual images of what many thought a god was) on Mars Hill.. In Him/Her/It, we breathe, we move, we have our existence, yes, we are the children (offspring) of the Divine..
There is only one source of all existence.. and we and all things, find that our very existence is that source projected as all of Life.. We are not a self, but we are an ALL, simply conceptualizing that we are separate beings.. from that which all things were created for and through.. the Christ.. or holy Spirit or what some would call GOD.. the originating energy, power from which all things flow..
So is Christ a person, well yes and no.. Christ is the life force of the Source within all of us, that anointing. the very Spirit in which we do breathe and move and have our singular existence.
Yet, this Christ or anointing was fully upon Jesus the man, in that he pointed to what the nature of all things, were.. Perfect Love, and love that gives life to all things that exist or ever will.. and that same life that was in him, is in us as well.. So we may live this life of compassion and oneness, when we are awake to THE PRESENCE OF ALL THAT EXIST... as ONE EXISTENCE...there is no you and I, except in our mistaken identities..
Just saying.. blessings my friends.. always.. love and peace to you..
and notation to my above posted blog,. let me say this:
ReplyDeleteThe Holy Spirit is NOT Jesus nor its NOT the Father. In fact, the purpose of the Holy Spirit is found in John 14:17. Jesus said "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you." The Holy Spirit doesn't have a name because it doesn't need a name.
The Holy Spirit is the Source, the Creator. Gen 1:2 "And the Spirit of the Divine was hovering over the face of the waters.
and i would also add, that Jesus was the full "image and likeness" of "God."
Hebrew: צֶלֶם אֱלֹהִים tzelem elohim, lit. "image of God
He is the image of who we REALLY ARE... that same image and likeness of the Source, in the ONE SPIRIT...of all that is LIFE..
All that we can really know about the Source of all life, is the way that Jesus lived his life in mercy and compassion of all men, and a wonderous love for all nature.
How many stories or lessons did he give, using nature for their background.
